Online TV Player allows you to watch more than 850 free TV channels and listen to more than 1500 free online radio stations on your PC from around the World. Online TV Player works with both Windows Media and Real Video and supports full-screen mode. The channels featured are both mainstream and non-mainstream although the stability of streams and the quality of programming varies wildly from one to another.
Includes mainstream terrestrial channels
Online TV Player features mainstream TV channels from some countries such as BBC, ITV and Channel 4 in the UK but other countries are less well served such as the USA where there are few notable mainstream channels other than ABC. The rest are channels such as The Shopping Channel, NASA TV and ABC Alaska. There's no way to record any of the programming and the interface is generally quite dated and basic.
Streaming isn't always reliable
The main problem you'll find with Online TV Player is that many channels simply don't stream well or don't stream at all. Some of this will depend on your internet connection but even on fast ones, the streaming can be unreliable at best. The other main problem is that many of the channels won't be of interest to most users. There are too many shopping, religious and niche channels that don't offer any compelling programming. Finally, there's no integrated TV guide so there's no way of easily seeing exactly what's on each channel.
A mediocre TV streaming app
Online TV Player is a generic TV streaming app which may be useful if your an Expat or desperate for home TV but it's not very reliable.
